Tour de France 2009

This year’s Tour de France will be the 96th Tour de France. Starting today (July 4 2009), it will start in the principality of Monaco with a 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) individual time trial that includes a section of the Circuit de Monaco.

Tour de France 2009 Race Course

The Tour de France is the biggest event in bicycle racing. It’s a three-week race and will visit a total of six countries: Monaco, France, Spain, Andorra, Switzerland and Italy. The total length is 3,445 kilometres (2,141 mi), including 93 in time-trials. There will be seven mountain stages with three uphill finishes, and one medium-mountain stage.
